Summer 1

English

This half term in English we are reading the story 'Wild'. We have been looking at pictures and predicting how the girl in the story might be feeling. We are going to continue writing sentences using capital letters, finger spaces and full stops.

Maths

In Maths this half term we are learning all about numbers to 100! We are continuing to partition numbers into tens and ones and adding numbers up to 20. We are continuing with the mastery number programme - this is really helping us with our number sense!

Science

In Science this half term we are learning all about materials and their simple properties. We are distinguishing between an object and the material it is made from. 

Wider Curriculum

We are learning about the physical and human features of the coastline in Geography. In PE we are learning how to play rounders! In computing we are making an animated E-book. In Art we are creating sculptures in the style of Jeff Koons.
