  • Autumn 1: Caped Crusaders

Hi and welcome to Amazing Acorns, we are so excited to get our new term started!

For the first few weeks, we will be settling into routines and getting to know each other. Experience shows us that this settling in period is vital so that our children feel safe and secure as we move forward in our learning.  We will be thinking about our ‘super powers’ and discussing what GOLDEN and SPARKLE looks like.  We will be introducing our children to ALL the people who help us around school and finding out about our families, as well as people who help us in the wider community. The children will have visits from our local Community Police officers, the Fire and Rescue team, Diversify and  Guide Dogs. The children will learn about historical figures such as Mary Seacole and her amazing contribution to British society. Our class texts will include A super power like mine, Superworm and Supertato.
