Glade Hill Primary and Nursery School

We are Golden and we SPARKLE

Inclusion and Equality

At Glade Hill Primary and Nursery School we believe passionately in the importance of inclusion and equality for all children and adults, and we strive to ensure these values are at the heart of our practices. Our school motto is ‘We are golden and we SPARKLE’ and we work tirelessly to ensure all of our children aspire to this. We are ambitious for all our children, including those with SEND, and our curriculum is adapted to meet the needs of the children at our school.

Therefore there are a number of key leaders in our school with responsibility for the strategic leadership and specialist provision for children with Special Educational Needs.

The strategic leads for the provision for children with SEN are the Headteacher Mrs Stapleton and the Assistant Headteacher for Inclusion Miss Wardle (currently on maternity leave) who both hold the National Award for SENCOs.

We also have Specialist Teachers who lead on specific aspects of our provision for children with SEN, undertake some aspects of the SENCO role and also oversee the curriculum, teaching and provision in our Enhanced Provision bases. This includes the Enhanced Provision Lead and SEN Specialist Teacher Mrs Bennett who is currently completing her SENCO qualification and our Senior Mental Health and Wellbeing Specialist Teacher Mrs Rowe.
