Summer 2

Welcome to the last term of the year! We are so excited to welcome the children back and get through even more exciting learning. This term, the children will be learning about money, re-writing traditional tales and learning about the seasons of Spring and Summer.

The children will be carrying out their phonics screening checks so please continue to read with your child at home, as much as you can!

We are excited for sports day and the children will be practising for their races so please come, support and cheer them on!

We are Writers!

This term the children have worked so hard using their capital letters, finger spaces and full stops in their writing. I am so impressed with the progress they are making and they have loved writing and showing their full potential this term.

The children have explored poetry and have written their own ‘Nature Walk’ poems. They have retold the story of the three little pigs and have been exploring lots of reading comprehensions for year 2!
