WC 04.01.21
This week in maths we will be working on our 6, 7 and 9 x table. For your task, complete the My Maths activity set. When you have completed this, can you have a go at the CPA grid attached. In English, we will be starting our unit on stories from different cultures. Begin by predicting what you think the story will be about by looking at the front cover. When you have done this, complete the second activity detailed. In geography this week, we're going to be finding out about climate and weather. What's the difference between the 2?

Find an example of a folktale. Have a read through and think about: Who are the characters? What is the main message from this folktale? Can you retell the story in your own words? Can you draw some pictures to create a story map?
RE: Watch the video all about Hindu temples and complete the activity. You will need to match the description of the Gods and Goddesses to the correct picture.
French: How many brothers and sisters does Georges have? Watch the video below and count (in French of course) how many brothers and sisters are going into his house each time.
Reading: Read the 'A Storm is Brewing...' below and answer the questions.

Using Kit Wright's poem, 'My Magic Box,' which you will find below, you are going to look carefully at his structure and the things that he would place inside. For your second task, I would like you to imagine what you would put in your Pharaoh's tomb. In maths, this week we're going to be continuing our learning calculating with money. Complete the My Maths money tasks.

Please find below an outline of this week's home learning. In English we will be writing the next part of our story- Howard Carter entering King Tut's tomb. We will be looking at the different artefacts found inside his burial chamber, and we will bring these to life by using descriptive language. Watch the 2 videos below, and see if you can pick out some of the things described. When you have done this, have a go at writing some sentences based on what you saw when you entered the tomb.
