Ways to support your child with Phonics

We are teaching every child to read using the ‘Little Wandle’ (previously ‘Letters and Sounds’) phonics scheme. This approach teaches our children to use synthetic phonics as a strategy to support them in becoming fluent readers and confident writers. This approach is adopted throughout school to ensure consistency and progression.

The resources on this page will help you support your child with saying their sounds and writing their letters.

There are also some useful videos so you can see how they are taught at school and feel confident about supporting their reading at home.
