We are Golden and we SPARKLE
We had a fantastic time welcoming some parents to see some of our learning from this half term. Children and parents worked together to make a replica of a Viking Longship out of playdough. They turned out great! The children even got to show their books to their adults to talk about what they've learnt.
We have continued working on our toys and this is the progress so far. We have explored using different cams to make our followers move. They are so close to being finished, I can't wait to see how they turn out!
Our DT project this half term has been to make our own automata toys. We have spent time designing these and then learnt how to measure, mark and cut accurately to make our pieces. We then used glue guns to put the frames together, ready for our cam choices.
In R-Time, we have been practicing working together as a team. The task was to tie a knot in the string, but only using one hand each! It was a challenge, but each pair figured out their own way to do this and succeeded in making the knot.
