Glade Hill Primary and Nursery School

We are Golden and we SPARKLE

Parents' Views

At Glade Hill Primary & Nursery School we value the views of our parents.  We have a number of ways in which you can express your views about general matters regarding the school.  These include:

  • Suggestion box situated in the School Reception
  • Annual parent survey carried out at the end of each academic year (see survey analysis below)
  • Glade Hill Supporters coffee mornings held at least once a term
  • Parent View - a government website where you can take part in a survey about the school (see link below)

If you have specific queries or concerns regarding individual children or something that has happened within school then please continue to speak to the class teacher, in the first instance.

You Said We Did
Communication regarding children's progress and learning needs improving

Alongside the termly parent's evenings we have

introduced the MarvellousMe app to give you current feedback on your child's learning and achievements

More variation in Fabulous Friday activities

is needed

The school feels that it is very important to reward our Golden children and is in the process of reviewingthe Fabulous Friday reward scheme.  Ms Sheppard and the children have been looking at this and it will be re-launched in January 2017

Electronic payments would be helpful for parents

In November 2016 we launched the School Gateway where parents can make electronic payments.

Initially this is only for dinner money but we will be using it for school trips and Breakfast Club in the future.

Breakfast Club electronic payments were introduced in September 2017 and all School Trips can now be paid for on the app from September 2018.

The fundraising activities organised by Glade Hill Supporters have stopped happening FRiends Of Glade hill School (FROGS) has re-launched and will be running a number of fundraising activities over the coming months.  A Christmas raffle has already taken place.
More organisation of after-school clubs Termly club calendars are published on the school website and varied activities are organised each half-term for each Key Stage.  Numbers are sometimes limited so not all children can attend when asked but places are allocated as fairly as possible.
