For our final term of Reception, we will be learning about and celebrating our ‘Wonderful World!’ We will celebrate and educate ourselves with World Ocean’s day on June 8th and learn about how we can ‘reduce, reuse and recycle’ to clean our oceans. We will then learn about our local area and legend Robin Hood. After our INSET days, the children in Reception will be celebrating how amazing we have been this year and reminisce about all of the WONDERFUL activities and memories we have shared this year. Instead of a school trip, we will instead enjoy an array of Carnival activities such as steel pan lessons, carnival dances and costume making.
We will continue to teach Phonics, Maths, Literacy, Guided reading and subjects in the wider curriculum, so keep your eyes posted on Twitter, Tapestry and our class gallery. Can we please ask in return, for our adults to continue reading schoolbooks at least 3 times a week at home and practise tricky words.
