PSHE

This week you are going to be learning about stereotypes.  , I would like you to begin this session by drawing a picture of a builder and a nurse. What comes to your mind when you first think about people who may have this role?  You can use the template below or feel free to use a piece of your own paper. Once you have done this, please look through the PowerPoint below to learn about what stereotypes are. To finish, please click the ‘True or false statements’ below and discuss these with somebody at home.

RE & PE

This week in RE, you're going to be learning about why Hindus celebrate Diwali. Watch the video clip on Diwali, Rama and Sita. Once you have done this, have a look at the story below and answer the questions.

In PE today, watch the video below and see if you have what it takes to beat the teacher. Send in pictures, and videos of you completing the challenge.

Science/art  

This week in science, I would like you to head outdoors (if possible) and look for examples of animals in the local habitat. Using what you find, can you sketch a picture to show the different producers, and consumers and then have a go at creating a food chain using what you’ve found. Watch the video below, by following the link to the video resource centre first. Don’t forget to send lots of pictures.

Thursday

Geography 

This week in geography we’re going to be doing another comparative study. This is where we investigate the same questions across different countries/ areas. I would like you to find out about what life like is like for children in Russia, Guatemala and England. You could find out about schools, toys that are played with and any other interesting facts. Present your findings in a creative way. You might want to make a book, a poster, a leaflet, a presentation or make your own Vlog.

Friday

DT- cooking

Over the past 3 weeks we have been finding out about what life is like in Guatemala and Russia. Today, have a go at following at the recipe below, or a recipe that you and your family have chosen.  Work safely in the kitchen with an adult. When you have finished, take photographs and create your own poster showing what you’ve created.
