Hello Brilliant Bonsais! I hope you are all OK? As some children return back to school this week I would love to see all of your lovely faces so please email me something you are proud of :) It could be a piece of learning or a picture of you going on a walk. I would just love to see you all! I hope you enjoy this week's learning as you continue to learn from home and I'll speak to you all very soon.

Wc 8th June

Hello Brilliant Bonsais! I can't believe we have had another week of learning from home, it really is going quickly. This week there has been lots in the news about something that is going on in the world right now. It has got me thinking and I've had a look at some new books that I am going to buy for our classroom. At the moment we can't go to school, so I thought I'd give you a chance to read them from home! :) Let me know what you think. Speak soon, Miss Newman x

I hope you enjoy these books and learn things from them, just like I did!

I Am Enough

The Oldest Student Read Aloud

This is a read aloud of The Oldest Student by Rita Lorraine Hubbard and Oge Mora

Half Term Fun!

I have spent lots of time outside and have been trying to grow my own house plants using cut off pieces of the ones I already have in my house (it's posh name is called propagating!)...

I've also been to a garden centre and I bought this funky cactus! I've laughed a lot at Drax. He has been very hot and I've found him sleeping with his legs out like this.

Let me know what you've been up to! Miss you all lots and lots. :)

Miss Newman and Drax... again!

Week Beginning - 18/5/20

Hello Brilliant Bonsais, I hope you've all had a sparkly week! Drax and I have been having lots of fun and he wanted to leave you a little message. Scroll down to watch his video!

This week's bed time story is going to be something extra special, that you can talk to your grownups about if you're feeling any worries. For now, I want you to remember to keep having fun at home with your grown ups or brothers/sisters, and as soon as all the germs are gone I can see all your lovely faces again! Keep sending me pictures and messages to our class email address - bonsais@gladehill.nottingham.sch.uk - as I love seeing what you are up to and they brighten my day! Don't forget to have a break and play in the sunshine as well. I used to love creating mud pies and magic potions for magical fairies!

Grownups - you're doing a fantastic job! Remember to take break as well. Make yourself a cup of tea and watch your children play in the garden. Take time for yourself where you can and don't forget to contact me if you have any questions. I am always here to help you!

Speak soon,

Miss Newman :)
