We are Writers...

This half-term, our writing focuses are:

* Non-Chronological Report

* Letter

* Winter Poetry

We will be using our core texts 'The Rainbow Bear' and 'The Great Explorer' to support our learning.

We are Mathematicians...

This half-term, we will be learning:

* Addition and Subtraction

We will start with a variety of resources, such as dienes and counters, to help our learning, before moving on to the more complex abstract concepts of column addition and subtraction.

We are Scientists...

This half-term, our Big Question is 'How can we choose the best material?'

We will be learning about materials and their properties. We will be thinking about the best material for a given object and why. We will also be doing some experiments to help us answer our question.

We are Geographers...

We will recap our knowledge of the United Kingdom before looking at the wider world. We will study the location of the seven continents and the five oceans using atlases, maps and digital mapping resources.

We are Religious Educators...

This half-term, we are continuing to learn about Judaism. We will be learning about their place of worship (a synagogue) and the different festivals Jewish people celebrate during the year. We will even be having a class trip to the Liberal Synagogue in November!

This half-term, we are studying the artwork of Adonna Khare. We will be learning how to sketch using different techniques and media, before recreating an image of hers.
