We are Golden and we SPARKLE
Nursery Rhymes
Welcome back and hello to our new starters in Nursery. We have been so impressed with how the children have settled into routines and are already showing such resilience and independence. Well done Elephants and Giraffes!
This term in Nursery, we will be learning all about Nursery Rhymes and in particular Incy Wincy Spider, Humpty Dumpty and Hickory Dickory Dock alongside many others. A great knowledge of nursery rhymes supports early phonics such as rhyme, rhythm and alliteration. Furthermore, it enhances turn taking, listening and attention skills and, early maths understanding. We will be re-telling, sequencing and re-enacting our nursery rhymes in our indoor and outdoor learning.
We will have a focus on how to SPARKLE and to be GOLDEN at school with a different theme each week: being self-motivated, polite, ambitious, resilient, kind and caring, a learner and enthusiastic. The children will be supported with their emotions and encourage blossoming relationships with peers and staff alike.
If you have any questions or queries please don’t hesitate to speak to any of our staff, email us at acorns@gladehill.nottingham.sch.uk or phone the school office.
