This term we have loved learning about the people who help us in our families, at school and in the local community. On the last day of our first half-term in school we were excited to have a Zoom visit from Craig the Firefighter who taught us all about fire safety and shared some practical messages such as Stop Drop and Roll.
ALL ABOUT THE NUMBER 3
The children had great fun playing tic-tac-toe, or noughts and crosses, as part of their learning about the number 3. They quickly picked up the rules and used fantastic mathematical problem solving to win. Who knew they were such a competitive bunch!
CLAY FOREST SCULPTURES
This term we have loved our listening walks down to our Glade Hill forest. We have noticed the dramatic change in seasons from Summer to Autumn and enjoyed using the natural materials we find for all sorts of learning activities. This week we made clay face sculptures on the trees.
SUPERTATO
What a wonderful week of learning we had creating our own SUPER vegetables, setting traps, rescuing our frozen carrots, trapping all the peas and finally defeating Evil Pea.
FAMILY TREE
We have loved learning all about each other, and talking about and drawing our families. The children created this beautiful 'Family Tree' featuring the people who live in their house. We have especially enjoyed celebrating our similarities and differences and thought about what makes us and our families special.
