In our English this half term we will be inspired by the book ‘Malala’s Magic Pencil’ by Malala Yousafzai.

Within this, we will be learning how to write poems, biographies and adventure stories.

We will be learning how to include exciting adjectives, expanded noun phrases, fronted adverbials, facts, paragraphs, commas and many other techniques that will make sure our writing wows!

Maths

In maths this half term we will be learning the place value of numbers to 1000. We will also be learning how to add and subtract with numbers to 1000 using formal written methods such as the column method.

Wider curriculum
Our topic this half term is ‘Our Magical World’. In science we will be learning all about Rocks and Fossils. We will be learning about Europe in Geography and studying Hundertwasser in art!
