We are Golden and we SPARKLE
PE at Glade Hill Primary & Nursery School
At Glade Hill we strive to create a culture which aims to inspire and motivate children to enjoy physical activity in lots of different ways. We provide a range of opportunities for children of all abilities to discover their love of sport within our inclusive curriculum.
We encourage children to develop life-long expertise through development of communication skills, resilience and self-esteem by being physically active and working collaboratively as a team, alongside maintaining a healthy lifestyle. Children at Glade Hill learn to swim and develop their outdoor adventure skills. To do this we provide all children in KS2 swimming lessons and an enrichment of overnight camp in Year 6. Children are given the opportunity to take part in sporting competitions and out of school clubs, where talent is spotted and passions are created. We aim for children to develop the necessary knowledge and skills which will have a positive impact on their future by becoming physically active citizens, benefitting their long-term health and well-being. We are encouraging all children to take opportunities throughout the day to be active by using our new Activall boards and in active maths and English lessons.
