Computing at Glade Hill

Computing at Glade Hill is sequenced and taught using the Purple Mash schemes of learning which are fully aligned to the National Curriculum and the online safety curriculum.

As a response to the  impact of the pandemic on the computing curriculum the children  are currently learning the Purple Mash crash courses for certain units which aim to catch children up on the learning they have missed. Computing is currently taught for one session per week.

Some aspects of online safety are also addressed through the PSHE curriculum.

Our computing progression maps are not published on our website due to copyright.

The curriculum in EYFS prepares children for the Computing curriculum in Key Stage one and two. Children are provided with opportunities to explore how digital things work and use their resilience and problem-solving skills to navigate simple tools. They begin to learn how to use technology for a purpose and are introduced to their digital wellbeing as they engage in the use of online activities.
