Spring 2: Julia Donaldson

This half term we will be learning all about the books written by the author Julia Donaldson. We will start by reading the story, The smartest Giant in Town. We will be trying on large items of clothing and using oversized giant wellies to make giant footprints. Over the following weeks, we will also be reading a Squash and a Squeeze and Room on a Broom. We will be covering many practical and creative activities in order to excite, engage and enhance your child’s learning. In PSHE, the children will be learning the importance of being kind and forming friendships, as well as exploring diverse family households. In maths, we will be concentrating on properties of shape, subitising to 4 and positional language.  Our science sessions will consist of environmental listening walks and exploring different sounds.  

We will be having lots of fun towards the half-term break when we will showcase all of our learning.
