We are Golden and we SPARKLE

Wider curriculum resources

Science:

This week we will be interpreting a food chain. Using the task set on Purple Mash, I would like you to create a food chain using the images of the animals provided. In the text box, write a few sentences stating the role of each organism. Think about the key words from last week. I have included an example of what a good one might look like.

Predator, prey, consumer, producer.

Geography project:

This week in Geography we're going to be exploring two different locations and finding out about the physical features within these. Physical features like seas, mountains and rivers are natural. They would be here even if there were no people around. Complete each day of the geography project. Think creatively about how you could present your findings.

Activity 1 Research the physical features that are found in Russia and Guatemala – Watch the video link provided to find out more about physical features.

Activity 2 Choose one of the physical features you have found and create a piece of artwork to represent this.

Activity 3 - What similarities and differences are there in the physical features of Russia and Guatemala? Write a paragraph using the template ‘2write’ on Purple Mash to explain this.

Click the link below to find out more about what physical and human features are.

RE:

Please read through the description of Puja and answer the questions. Once you have done this, discuss these questions with someone around you. What are their thoughts? Do you share the same thinking?

PSHE

This week we will be thinking about the similarities and difference that we share with others. Watch the video clip of Gabriel – what similarities do you share with his? What difference do you have? You might want to discuss this with someone at home.
