School Term Dates

The documents below are the published term dates for all LA maintained schools in the City Council. Please note that 4 Inset Days per academic year are also taken. These will be published separately and as much notice as possible will be given to parents.

The Inset Days for 2023/24 are:

Friday 1 September 2023 - children return to school on Monday 4 September 2023

Friday 24 November 2023

Friday 5 July 2024

Monday 8 July 2024

Currently the known Inset Days for 2024/25 are:

Thursday 29 August 2024 - published Admin Day for all maintained schools

Friday 30 August 2024 - children return to school on Monday 2 September 2024

3 further Inset days will be notified as soon as possible.
