Summer 1

The Wonderful Wild!

Heading into the summer term, we will be learning all about setting descriptions. We will be exploring the book 'Wild' by Emily Hughes and will be writing detailed descriptions of the woodland setting. We will also be writing a fact file and receiving a special visit from some animals.

In maths this half term, we will be exploring place value up to 50, looking at mass and volume, and continuing our Mastering Number programme.

In Science we will be learning about everyday materials, in Geography we will be looking at coastlines and their features, and in Art we will be creating sculptures in the style of Niki de Saint and Jeff Koons.

In DT we will be making healthy smoothies and in PE we will be learning all about playing rounders.
