Purrfect Pets!

This term, our key text in English is "Can I Be Your Dog?" by Troy Cummings.

We will be learning how to take care of animals and will be learning the skill of writing a letter. We will also be writing a fact file and receiving a special visit from some animals. If you have pets at home and would like to send a photo to the class so that your child can talk about them, please send it to the class email bonsais@gladehill.nottingham.sch.uk

In maths we are exploring addition and subtraction up to 20 and then place value to 50. We will be continuing the Mastery Number programme to help us with our understanding about each number and their relation to each other.

In science we will be learning all about humans and their parts, along with the senses. We will be doing a full science experiment to help us to investigate!

Every Tuesday this half term we will be doing Forest School outside in the woods, please send your child in suitable footwear and clothing, as we will be out in all weathers except high winds.

In art we will be learning collage techniques in the style of Eric Carle, and in RE we will be looking at beliefs and teachings including Easter, Holi and Ramadan.

In PE we are practicing bowling, hand-eye co-ordination and aim, and in music we are learning about timbre and rhythm.
