Autumn 1

We have started the term with learning about numbers 10-100 and understanding the term 'multiples of 10'.

Following on from this, we will be progressing with our learning addition.

Autumn 2

We will start this half-term with developing our understanding of 'addition within calculations to 20' before moving on to develop our skills in 'multiplication'.

Spring 1

We will start the half-term learning about the properties and names of 2D and 3D shapes.

We will then move on to begin to learn how to multiply and divide. We will do this using a range of methods, including using equal groups, repeated addition and multiplication equations.

Spring 2 

This half term will continue to progress with ourlearning related multiplication and link our learning to division.

Following this we will be exploring formal written methods for addition and subtraction and end the term with developing knowledge of ​​​​​​​position and direction related to shape. 

Summer 1

This term we will be learning about measurements and position and direction.

Towards the end of the term, we will be recapping our learning related to four operations: addition, subtraction, multiplication and division.

Summer 2

During this half term, we will be recapping our learning related to four operations: addition, subtraction, multiplication and division. We will also be learning about measures by experimenting with mass, capacity and metric measures.
