We are Golden and we SPARKLE

End of Half-term Headteacher letter - Spring 2

Dear Parents and Carers of Glade Hill,

I would like to wish you all a Happy Easter holidays and I hope you have enjoyed all the lovely activities we have had this half-term. What an amazing half-term it has been! It was great to see so many of you at our Parents Evenings and thank you for all your ongoing support for your children’s learning. See below for some photos of our fabulous, decorated eggs and bonnets from across the school. Thank you and well done to all who took part.

The half-term’s theme ‘The Love of Books’ was also amazing, involving parents, carers and our wider school community. These have included our reading challenges in school, paired class reading, book quizzes and also lots of exciting activities on World Book Day.

We have also had lots of exciting enrichment activities including school visits and in-school presentations of learning. We hope your children have enjoyed these and that they have helped them to learn more and remember more. Take a look at some photos of our learning below.

I would also like to let you know that Mr Newell is sadly leaving our school at the end of this term after securing a promotion. We thank him for his work at Glade Hill and wish him all the best. We extend a warm welcome to Mr Booth as the teacher for Year 5 Maples for the summer term.

Next half-term we have lots more exciting learning on offer that our staff are really looking forward to sharing with our children. So please make sure your children are in school as much as possible so they can benefit from this and make great progress.

Thank you for taking the time to read this letter and I wish you all a restful break.

Kindest regards,

Mrs Anna Stapleton - Headteacher
