Odd Socks Day and Anti-Bullying Week!

It's Anti-Bullying week which begins today with Odd socks day!

Please join in at home and encourage your child to talk about what they have been learning about.

The theme this year is 'The Power for Good'.

As usual Andy and the Oddsocks have produced a new song which we will be sharing with the children in school so please play this your children at home too and encourage them to learn some of it.  (Andy and the Oddsocks songs are always really catchy).

During your child's PSHE sessions this week, teachers will be promoting anti-bullying and the importance of it. This was also introduced to them during Friday's assembly last week.

The aims for the week are:

• to ensure that children understand what bullying is and how they can seek help.  (using STOP)

• to understand the difference between relational conflict and bullying.

• the importance of being an upstander not a bystander.
