We are Golden and we SPARKLE
This half term we have enjoyed learning about lots of different animals. We found out about farm animals when we went to Bluebell Dairy and we have learned about the life-cycles of frogs when Miss Jardine brought her tadpoles into school. We have done a great job taking care of the school guinea pigs, feeding, grooming, petting and cleaning them. Plus we had a special visit from Mrs Beckett's pet tortoises.
🐮🐷🐔We all had such a fun on our trip to Bluebell Dairy Farm this term. We watched how the farmers milk cows, learned how to make ice cream, had fun watching a sheep race (LAMBorgini won), met some creepy crawlies and fed all the farm animals. We were ready for lunch then enjoyed chocolate, strawberry and vanilla ice cream from the dairy and played on the park..
All the staff at the farm were so impressed with your Golden and Sparkly behaviour - we really had a wonderful day. 🤩🤩🤩
This term we have loved reading The Tiger who Came to Tea. We invited the tiger to a tea party so we could teach him some manners . The children loved making cupcakes and sharing crisps, fruit and juice with the tiger. Unlike in the story, the tiger was not at all selfish or greedy and followed the lead of all the children by showing off his Golden manners. A fantastic way to finish a very busy half term.
As part of our 'Caped Crusaders' topic we have been meeting some of the people who help us in our local community, such as local firefighters and police officers. The children were inspired to make their own box-model vehicles after sitting in the fire engine and police van.
The children have made a terrific start in their Reception classes and have enjoyed exploring their new environment, both indoors and outdoors, making friends and getting to know their new teachers and all the people who help us at school. Thank you parents for all your support and getting your children SO ready to start school.
