Spring 2

In Spring 2, we will be learning all about pets, how to describe them, and how to write a letter to describe them to a reader. Our key text in English is "Can I Be Your Dog?" by Troy Cummings.

We will be continuing to focus on supporting your child with forming their letters correctly, as we write simple sentences. We will be looking at sentence formation, including the importance of capital letters, finger spaces, full stops and exclamation and question marks. We will be learning all about adjective and how to describe a pet so that the reader of our letter can picture them.

In maths we will be learning about numbers to 20, including how to add and subtract them, before looking at numbers up to 50. We will also be learning about length, height and measuring and comparing objects.

In history we will be learning about the Great Fire of London, in science we will be learning all about humans, and in art we will be making collages.

In PE we will be working on our co-ordination by practicing our aim and playing target games like bowling.
